Bliss Edwards is about to graduate from college and still has hers. Sick of being the only virgin among her friends, she decides the best way to deal with the problem is to lose it as quickly and simply as possible-- a one-night stand. But her plan turns out to be anything but simple when she freaks out and leaves a gorgeous guy alone and naked in her bed with an excuse that no one with half-a-brain would ever believe. And as if that weren't embarrassing enough, when she arrives for her first class of her last college semester, she recognizes her new theatre professor. She'd left him naked in her bed about 8 hours earlier. (Goodreads)

Losing It was a cute, fast read that delivered a lot of hot moments and great laughs. I'm really starting to love this New Adult genre as it gives me the romance I like plus characters I can relate to. I'm still in my 20's (upper 20's but shut up) and still feel young so I relate more to younger characters than older.

Bliss was a funny, clueless leading lady that I found myself laughing at every other page. Though at times she was annoying with her constant anxiety attacks about everything, she was more often fun to read about. Garrick was a sexy, BRITISH (love it!) leading man who I thought was cute and just as funny. I thought he was a very nice guy and loved that he kept pursuing Bliss even after they found out he was her teacher. Yeah, it was wrong, but it wasn't like she was underaged or anything. It was more of a battle of ethics. But I was like screw ethics, go get your girl Garrick!

Losing It #2
The whole thing with Cade (Bliss's BFF) was just a bit strange for me. Why do people like to ruin perfectly good friendships by falling in love? UGH! I hate it in real life and in books. I think Bliss reacted to Cade's revelation with maturity. He didn't like it but those be the breaks. Luckily for him, he gets his own book next! I'm pretty excited to read Faking It. If it's as funny and cute as this one, then I'm sure I will love it.

The writing was pretty easy-going and simplistic. Not spectacular, but not bad either. It just...was. The pacing was good and I felt it flowed from one scene to the next without feeling jumpy or forced.

If you like cute romances then I recommend this book for you. You will laugh your ass off at Bliss because she says (and does) some pretty ridiculous things. But overall, had a good time with this book and will definitely be reading the next.

Favorite "Losing It" Line

Clearly I was not meant to have sex. This was God telling me that I was meant to be a nun. Get thee to a nunnery, and all that crap.
