Genre: New Adult Romance
Series: Triple M Trilogy #1
Source: Bought for Kindle

DeeJay's Rating: 4/5 STARS

Twenty-one year old Amy Cross's idea of a hot Saturday night is curling up with her favorite book boyfriend and secretly sneaking a bottle of her mother's wine. That is, until she meets Austin Sparks, the biker boy with a past that burns like fire and a gaze she can't look away from. Without knowing what she's doing or why she's doing it, Amy ends up on the road with Austin traveling from one city to another while learning things she's only ever read about in romance novels.

At first it seems like Austin is Amy's fantasy come true, but as their journey progresses, she starts to sense that Austin is running away from something. Amy knows that she'll do whatever it takes to help him find himself. What she doesn't expect is that she'll lose herself in the process and how good it will feel to be free. (Goodreads)

That. COVER.
As I've said only about a thousand times before, I LOVE tats. They are so, so, so SEXY. Put 'em on a biker boy with abs like that? Hand me a bib and watch me drool, baby.

Now for the book.

I liked it! Again, Stunich is one of my new fave authors so I jumped on this book the day it came out! I loved the premise, as cliche as it was: innocent girl meets biker. Gets turned OUT. Love it. I wasn't too sure about "Miss Amy Cross" as Austin liked to call her in that sexy boy Southern twang. Talk about sheltered! She was twenty one years old and still had to ask her mommy and daddy for permission to use the phone. GTFO! Her parents were insane kooks who used the wrath of God and unfortunately abuse, to keep control over Amy all of her life. By the time Austin Sparks rolls into town with his MC called Triple M, she's had enough and just wants to run away from it all. Note: Amy is supposed to be some innocent, church girl. Yeah...not really....

"She looks like she's afraid, like she's nervous or shy or demure or some shit, but she's not. That tremble, that shake, those watery eyes. Amy's feeling the same way I do, like she's got fire bottled up inside and it's all waiting to come out." –Austin

Yup. Pretty much.

I liked Austin right away. He wasn't too over the top with that "dreamy, sex god"shit like in most books like this. He was just a sexy biker with a twang that I LOVED and a passion for bikes and mayhem. PERFECTION. What I wasn't convinced about was the dreaded *insert dooms day music* "insta-love." Instant attraction I'm cool with. Instant "run away with me", I'm not. However, it didn't turn me off of this book at all. There was enough believable romance and plenty of drama and excitement to hold me over.

There's a bit of a "love triangle" in the story, but it's pretty obvious how that storyline is going to end up. There were also a few twists and turns that were introduced which makes me want to scream. As far as I know, this isn't a series, so how the hell am I supposed to find out more? I want more! What happens next? The ending kind of leaves it open to a sequel, but I'm thinking we probably won't be getting one.

Overall, a fun, spicy read. A lot of people have rated this book harshly, but I don't know why. Usually I'm the one telling everyone that they're crazy to like a certain book as much as they do, but in this instance, I'm the one that's like "Oh yeah!" Anywho, I'd recommend it to romance lovers and chicks who dig bikers.

Favorite Quote

"Take 'em off. This is your next lesson. If you don't wear a skirt, be prepared to take off your pants. Come on, sugar, let's get to it. We've gotta hurry before somebody drives by and sees us." –Austin

Update 6/1/13: Just found out this is indeed a trilogy! YES!
