Release Day Feature! Dishin' It Up with @LaylaTarar, author of Flirting With Fire + #GIVEAWAY!

Tara Quan

eBooks or Print?
I don’t have much of a choice. At current count, I’ve moved 6 times in the past five years (to and from 3 different countries, not including the US). We’ve already decided to liquidate our print book collection before the next transfer.

Sweet or Sour?
Sweet, unless we’re talking Skittles.

T-Rex or Velociraptor?
To escape from? Definitely T-Rex. Anyone who’s watched Jurassic Park knows they only detect movement. Raptors are much more dangerous.

Norse Mythology or Greek Mythology?
As a new arrival in Italy, I probably should say Roman (which is pretty much the same as Greek, but with different names).

Cream/Sugar in your coffee or Black?
I adore cappuccinos. The “only before 11” rule here is killing me.

Sun or Shade?
Since I’m in the best mood between 63-68 degrees Fahrenheit, the sun and I rarely see eye-to-eye.

Ichabod Crane or the Headless Horseman?
I love horses, but it’s impossible to choose anyone over Tom Mison (except maybe my husband, in case he stumbles upon this).

Roses or Tulips?
Here’s a confession, I’m not a huge fan of flowers. When it comes to plants, I prefer herbs and fruits. But since I love the scent of rosewater, I’ll go with the former.

Chips or crackers?
Hmm… *looks over shoulder* (My better half is very much opposed to processed carbohydrates.) I would kill for potato chips right now.

Spring or Fall?
Having just released a Halloween romance, it makes sense to pick the Fall.

Super Power: Invisibility or Telekinesis?
Due in large part to laziness (I hate getting up to grab things), telekinesis wins hands-down.

Comedy or Action flicks?
Romantic comedy, unless it’s up against something in the Marvel universe.

Facebook or Twitter?
I’ll have to pick Twitter. The character limit prevents me from overthinking posts.

High heels or flats?
To my significant other’s continuing disapproval (due to the fact that I’m 5ft 0in tall), I’m partial to flats.

Doing things right or doing the right thing?
That’s a tough one. Since my career revolves around picking the perfect way to convey a message, doing things right noses out its contender by a smidge.

Which is worse, failing or never trying?
Never trying, of course. I wouldn’t have become a writer otherwise.

Beer, wine, or neither?
Vino Rosso, per favore. (By the way, have you heard of Lambrusco, aka., fizzy red wine? It’s delish.)

Pancakes or waffles?
I must confess a weakness for waffles … with caramel and whipped cream.

Night dreamer or Day dreamer?
I’ve always envied people who can remember their dreams. I lack the ability. On the flipside, I can drop into a daydream at any given moment.

Chocolate chip or Oatmeal cookies?
I’ll be good and pick oatmeal.

Which is more intriguing, the past or the future?
The future. Being a horrible cook, I’m waiting for someone to invent the replicator from Star Trek.

Publication Date: October 24, 2014
Series: A Witch's Night Out #1
Genre: Paranormal Romance

Apprentice witch Catalina Gato is prohibited from assuming her human form in front of her new employer without his express permission. Since he doesn’t know he’s a warlock, he can’t give it, leaving her in a familiar’s limbo. To make matters worse, she’s barred from leaving his house, and her attempts to enlighten him of his true nature results in burnt notes, charred walls, and exploding laptops.

On All Hallows’ Eve, she gets one night of freedom. Deciding some no-strings-attached sex might take the edge off the intense attraction she feels for her clueless boss, she signs up for Madame Eve’s service. When she meets her masked mystery date at the Castillo Capital, she realizes she might have gotten much more than she bargained for.

After being gifted a one-night stand from his annoying best friend, attorney Leo Difuoco reluctantly ventures to the Castillo Capital to celebrate Halloween. When he meets his oddly familiar green-eyed date in a Cat Woman costume, flames literally ignite, sparks magically fly, and life as he knows it changes forever.
