I love one night stands.
And by this I mean, I read this book in one night. Short, sweet and to the point, Found In Us was a well-needed delight for me!
I thought Jessica and Parker were darling together. I adored Jessica's "love-life" personality and how she tried to find the good in everything that happened in life. This trait was also her downfall, especially in earlier years, but it the thing that Parker loved about her the most. Parker was the opposite of Jessica, and found it hard to trust people so he buried himself in his work and damned the world. Jessica helped him realize how was wasting his life being miserable and he helped her to realize that she was worth loving. I really appreciated how simple and powerful the message here is: Love and Trust are EVERYTHING.
I also really liked the surrounding drama with Jessica and Parker's families. It added depth to the story and made our MCs that much more interesting. I'm intrigued to learn more about Jessica's family though it seems we know quite a bit about Parker's now. Maybe I need to read the first book in the series, hmmm?
The sex scenes were hot, hot, hot and the romance was totally believable. I really liked how Jessica and Parker already knew each other so we were able to jump right into their love story without all the meet and greet stuff. There was passion and humor and all the good things that make a romance book memorable. So no complaints there.
The writing was great as well so that's a major plus. I loved the way the story flowed from one scene to another and there was even a little action! Just love it when that happens. I'm a big fan of alternating points of view, so to read this story from Jessica AND Parker's POV was even better!
So do I recommend Found in Us? Oh, most definitely. If you're looking for a quick read with a great love story, I would suggest this book!
P.S. Layla Hagen is a SUPER NICE author!! #JustSaying
I fell in love with books when I was nine years old, and my love affair with stories continues even now, many years later.
I write romantic stories and can’t wait to share them with the world.
And I drink coffee. Lots of it, in case the photo didn’t make it obvious enough.
